    The quoted phrase indicates that one should use 2 letters at a time. If one uses 2 letters at a time from the phrase into the grid, where the first letter is the x coordinate, and the second letter is the y coordinate, e.g. "ea" points to the letter t, one gets some letters. As the last sentence indicates, if one sorts the square and the uses the position of the previously obtained letters, e.g. t is in the position of v in the sorted grid, one gets the answer voluntarism.
