The theme of all the answers to all the crossword answers are hinted by the title. When anagrammed, the phrase Contronyms is given. Contronyms are, depending on context, words that can have opposite or contradictory meanings. Once solved, each highlighted square gives two separate phrases for each direction of the answers, eugenic and hurrah. Entering both of these as a phrase or sentence gives the answer eugenic hurrah.
